๐Ÿ Yoro Valley (Awamata Falls) โ€“ Chiba

A spectacular combination of Awamata Falls and autumn leaves.

๐Ÿโ™จ๏ธFamous for its hot springs and autumn leaves, Yoro Valley is a tourist attraction for nature lovers, yet easily accessible from the city center. It is also known as the “latest autumn foliage spot in Japan.” There are many ways to enjoy the area, such as walking around the six waterfalls, stream fishing, and hiking.

๐Ÿ“ธThe “Mukaiyama Tunnel” that we visited on the way is a popular photo spot. This unique “two-story tunnel” has a mysterious feel, like itโ€™s headed to another world.
Right outside, there is a promenade along the Yoro River, which is perfect for a relaxing stroll.

๐Ÿž๏ธThe most famous of the six waterfalls is Awamata Falls, which we visited this time.

This dynamic waterfall has a drop of 30m and a length of 100m, and boasts the most magnificent scenery in the Yoro Valley. The powerful waterfall is surrounded by red and yellow autumn leaves, creating a complete landscape like a perfect painting.

๐Ÿ“You can get really close to the waterfall, but be careful as the rocks are rugged and it is difficult to walk in some places. There are also promenades and rest spots along the way, so you can enjoy the waterfall from various angles.

๐ŸจThere is a delicious ice cream shop at the entrance to the falls, so be sure to stop by there too.
