Exploring Okinawa: World War 2 History And Delicious Food!

It’s day two in Naha, Okinawa. We are shocked as everyone having breakfast in the hotel received an emergency alert about heavy rains and floods and possible landslides. We check it out and it appears all is ok in the area we want to travel to.

Today we:
– Ride in a Japanese Taxi
– Visit the Japanese WW2 Underground Naval Headquarters
– Makishi Public Market
– Kokusai Dori Shopping Street

Lunch is at quaint Izakaya in the Kokusai Dori Food Village where we try traditional Okinawan dishes. Dinner later that evening is at the Sake Laboratory, where we try more interesting dishes and have a few sake’s on tap.
