【お城と桜】佐賀県・唐津の桜名所！ 唐津城と鏡山 / Castle and Cherry Blossoms – Karatsu Castle and Kagamiyama [ 4K ]

佐賀県北部にある観光地「唐津」を代表する二つの桜名所（唐津城・鏡山）をご紹介します！

■唐津城 ( 続日本100名城 )
唐津城（からつじょう）は、佐賀県北部の唐津湾に突き出た満島山上にあった城郭跡で、「続日本100名城」に選定されています。城内に約280本の桜が植えられた桜名所となっていて、唐津湾や虹ノ松原の展望も素晴らしい風光明媚なお花見スポットです。

江戸時代初期にこの地に封ぜられた寺沢広高によって築城され、唐津藩の藩庁となりました。築城の際には豊臣秀吉の死後に廃城となっていた名護屋城の遺材を使用し、九州各地の諸大名の助力も得て築かれました。明治維新後は廃城となりましたが、現在は「舞鶴公園」として整備され、昭和41年（1966年）には5層5階の模擬天守が建てられ、門・櫓も再建されています。

■鏡山
鏡山（かがみやま）は、佐賀県北部の唐津市街近郊にある標高284ｍの山で、虹の松原や唐津城と並んで、唐津のシンボル的な場所の1つです。山頂展望台から虹の松原（国の特別名勝）や唐津湾が見渡せ、唐津湾に突き出るようにそびえ立つ唐津城も遠望できます。

鏡山の山容は台形の形をしており、山頂部は平坦な地形で、西側に「鏡山展望台」、東に「ひれふり展望台」があります。また鏡山山頂の中央部に「鏡山稲荷神社」が鎮座します。山頂へ続く約4kmの車道は絶好のドライブコースとして親しまれ、特に春には道沿いに続く桜並木と唐津湾の景色が素晴らしいです。

This video introduces two representative cherry blossom viewing spots (Karatsu Castle and Kagamiyama) in Karatsu, a tourist destination in the northern part of Saga Prefecture!

Karatsu Castle (Karatsu-jo) is the ruins of a castle that stood on Mitsushima Mountain jutting out into Karatsu Bay in northern Saga Prefecture, and has been selected as one of the “Continued 100 Great Castles of Japan. It is a scenic cherry blossom viewing spot with approximately 280 cherry trees planted within the castle grounds and a wonderful view of Karatsu Bay and Nijinomatsubara.

Kagamiyama is a 284-meter-high mountain located near Karatsu City in northern Saga Prefecture, and is one of the symbolic sites of Karatsu, along with Niji-no-Matsubara and Karatsu Castle. From the observatory at the top of the mountain, Niji-no-matsubara (a special national scenic beauty spot) and Karatsu Bay can be seen, and Karatsu Castle, which rises out of Karatsu Bay, can also be seen in the distance.
