Why I Fly Twice a Year for My Dentist: Life on Remote Ishigaki Island π΄βοΈ
βοΈ Flying to the Dentist: Why I Travel from Ishigaki Island to Nagoya π¦·
In this video, I share my unique journey of flying to Nagoya twice a year for dental maintenance, even after moving to Ishigaki Island almost 4 years ago. Living in a remote paradise has its perks, but when it comes to health, I prioritize getting the best care possible.
This year, Iβve also combined my trip with a complete health check since the health check-ups on Ishigaki Island tend to be quite basic. While it may seem extravagant to fly for these services, I believe that investing in your health is worth it. Plus, flying is the only way to connect Ishigaki with the rest of Japan, so trips like this are part of life here!

You are doing great, Micka. I think it is very important to check dental health and finding a good dentist is a challenge. When you have found one, you don't leave… until he retires….Nice video that gave an insight of another part of Ishigaki. You do a video after coming back from the dentist? Best wishes

The sacrifices we must make for our choices in places to live I guess. I can't imagine the total cost of this, for two visits in one year? I am stressed over my trip next week and that is for a pleasure vacation lol. I know a guy here that works in a hotel and he gets free passes to fly to Vancouver so his dental costs are much less.
