What a totally epic landscape, it's completely unsurprising that the Ainu revered the area as sacred! It does seem to have quite a different feel from the mountain hikes in Honshu you've shared with us, the natural & regional diversity of Japan is fascinating and beautiful. And what gorgeous weather too – a welcome dose of sunny viewing in what is turning out to be a mind-numbingly grey winter here were I am. Thanks for taking us along on the hike with you.
Gratitude , what you do is a joy to those of us who adore northern Japan from afar . Without the current means and resources to visit . I savour your videos like dreams . Learning so much about these ancient trails and sacred areas. The sensitivity you show and the love you have for the area is plain to all those who want to see .
Thank you for this video! Daisetsuzan is also high up on my bucket list.
