The starting point is Karasawa Falls, a stepped waterfall with a drop of 50m over the Nishihoragawa River that flows through the Shinkai district of Kiso Town. We recommend the route that passes through Jizo Toge Pass Lookout, which offers a view of Mount Ontake, and passes the legendary Matchmaking Tree before descending down to the foot of the Kaida Plateau, passing by the stone Buddhas and monuments of Hieda in Suekawa Village as well as a facility dedicated to the famous Kiso horses, before concluding at the Kaida Kogen Tourist Information Center.

木曽町新開地区を流れる西洞川（にしほらがわ）にかかる落差50mの段瀑、唐沢の滝がスタート地点。木曽御嶽山の眺望が望める地蔵峠展望台を経て、縁結びの木を経て、開田高原の麓に下り、末川村稗田（ひえだ）の石仏群、木曽馬の里を経て、ゴールの開田高原観光案内所に至るルートがおすすめ。
