長崎の氏神様

長崎くんちが行われる神社

創建は1625年
当時はキリスト教が布教され、神社仏閣が破壊されていきました。それを憂いたそ青木 賢清さんが長崎奉行に進言し創建されました。

御祭神は長野の諏訪大社と同じ、
主祭神は建御名方神と后神八坂刀売神。
まぁ、元々あった諏訪神社を元に長崎中にあった神社を集合させたのでしょう。
結果、狛犬がいっぱい集まったのかと♪
境内にいっぱい狛犬いますよ！
全部みれませんでしたが…
隠し狛犬もいるみたいですよ♪
長崎くんちも350年続くお祭りですから、長崎の氏神様として、皆の祈りを受けてきたのでしょう。
本殿以外にも色々あって面白かったですよ(^^)

Chinzei Taisha Suwa Shrine
Nagasaki’s guardian deity
The shrine where Nagasaki Kunchi is held
Founded in 1625
At that time, Christianity was being spread and shrines and temples were being destroyed. Aoki Kensei, who was concerned about this, proposed to the Nagasaki magistrate that this temple be built.
The deity worshipped here is the same as that of Suwa Taisha Shrine in Nagano.
The main deities are Takeminakata no Kami and his wife Yasakatome no Kami.
Well, it seems that the shrines located throughout Nagasaki were gathered together based on the original Suwa Shrine.
As a result, a lot of Komainu statues gathered.
There are lots of lion statues in the grounds!
I couldn’t see it all, but…
It seems there are also hidden lions.
The Nagasaki Kunchi festival has been held for 350 years, so it has likely received the prayers of everyone as the guardian deity of Nagasaki.
There were many other things besides the main hall, which was interesting (^^)
If you can handle slopes and stairs, you should definitely go!!
