One Month traveling in Japan: Naoshima, Japan’s Art Island 🇯🇵

Hello everyone! SO excited to share this particular video from my Sabbatical in Japan. This was a day we spent on Naoshima Island. As someone who works in design/art this island has been on my list forever. Truly an all encompassing art experience. So many of my favorite artists in one beautiful place to explore. Yayoi Kusama, Monet, hiroshi sugimoto, Tadao Ando, James Turrell, the list goes on. I’ll say I’ve never felt quite as immersed in architecture as much as I did visiting the Chichu art museum. Hope ya’ll enjoy – it’s a quite relaxing video.

A few simple helpful tips we found on our trip:

💫 It was easier (and cheaper!) to find lodging at Uno Port rather than trying to find a hotel on the island itself. Very easy to just take the ferry over in the morning.

💫 Rent the electric bikes to explore the island! So much more fun than using the bus or attempting to walk.

💫 MAKE SURE to book your reservations ahead of your trip for the different museums you want to see. There were some people I noticed who were freaking out because they didn’t book their tickets yet and there was nothing available lol.
