This video shows you around the area near Asahikawa Station.
The walk started from the garden behind the station and followed along a pond known as “Kagami Ike” – means Mirror Pond.
The area behind the station is usually filled with many flowers and serves as a small relaxation spot during the snow-free seasons of spring and summer, with stalls set up sometimes and people sitting on benches.

During the winter, this area looks quite different. Unlike the busier front side of the station with heavy traffic, the back side has fewer people, and it’s not uncommon to see people playing in the snow here.

In the latter half of the video, I also show you a bit of the area in front of the station.
