Welcome to this Autumn journey from Aso Station to Higo Ōzu Station on the JR Kyushu Hōhi Main Line traveling across Kumamoto Prefecture and the Aso Caldera. This section of tracks were heavily damaged during the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes and was restored in 2020.
This is the view from the front car (briefly the rear car while traveling on switchback track) in direction of travel towards Kumamoto and home of conductor Kumamon.
