Kyoto bamboo forest – Arashiyama Best Bamboo Forest in Japan #bambooforest

We take a trip to the famous Arishiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto Japan. We are staying in the Gion are of Kyoto so we take a few trains to get to the forest area, the journey takes around 50 minutes. There are a lot of people around but its not obvious where to go. Then before we know it we have arrived. Its free to get in and as it is full of activity and usual there are plenty of shrines to visit which is always good fun because they look amazing, nothing like the dowdy churches in the UK. When we find the bamboo forest area it is mainly just one strip and you walk to the top, around half a mile. It looks great from the top but its even better coming back down, get the camera ready, everyone else has😂
