Is this business class or not? JAL’s mysterious “J Class”

This flight was part of a larger award ticket using 80,000 American Airlines miles.

  1. While there isn't much on offer, it's a flat $7 or $14 upgrade depending on the distance for all domestic flights at the check-in desk so I do think it serves a certain demand!

  2. That would be JDM domestic business class, certainly not the international “J” we are used to, but I’d say it’s still better than typical intra-European business class 🤷
