4K Japan Walking Tour in Kyoto | Kifune Shrine to Kibuneguchi Station
Visiting Kifune Shrine in northern Kyoto, Japan is an unforgettable experience. The area sits by a peaceful river, lined with restaurants that have platforms right above the water, with little waterfalls flowing next to them. Most places serve full-course meals, but a standout spot is Hirobun, near the top of the road.
Farther up the road, you’ll find the original Kifune Shrine. While the newer one down the road is more popular, the original shrine has some unique rocks that were said to have hidden a sacred spirit.
We took a bus from the Kibuneguchi Station and returned to the station to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Kifune was a great day trip from Kyoto.
