I Tried Raw Horse Meat and Explored Kumamoto Castle! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Join me on a cultural journey through Kumamoto Castle and Sakura no Baba! πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
Explore this historic Japanese castle, hear about its rebuilding after the 2016 earthquake, and see samurai armor and hand-written letters by Hosokawa Tadaoki. Climbing to the top made me feel like a true shogun! 🏯

On the way to Sakura no Baba, I almost hit my head on a low ceiling (funny moment alert!) before discovering scenic walkways. At Sakura no Baba, I tried:
πŸ– Raw horse meat for only 600 yen
🍑 Ikinari Dango (steamed sweet potato dessert)
🐻 Kumamon-themed Monario Ningyo Yaki

I even stumbled upon a Japanese lion dance (Shishi-mai) and interacted with kind locals, including a shopkeeper who gifted me hot matcha tea 🍡.
Don’t miss this mix of history, food, and heartwarming moments in Kumamoto! Like, subscribe, and let me know if you recognize the lion dance! 🦁

  1. Not sure I'd eat horse meat!? Alot of countries in Asia eat dog and cat. Would you?? For me NEVER!!! But maybe I have by accident in Indonesia as I just ordered meat which I imagined was cow but it could have been dog as they eat it in Indonesia
