Dawn Snow on Old Nakasendo Trail, Walking Villages and Mountain Pass | Magome to Tsumago, Japan 4K

Early morning walk on the Nakasendo from Magome to Tsumago in snow and rain. This section of the Nakasendo walking highway is one of its best preserved sections and popular with walkers and hikers who want a taste of what walking in the Edo Period might have been like.

  1. Hi happy new year and thank you for joining me on this wintery walk on the Nakasendo. It's really nice to walk this preserved section of the old walking highway and imagine what it would have been like to make the entire journey on foot during the Edo Period. The snow was a nice touch as well. This time I didn't film much in the villages on either end of this section, but last summer I was there at dusk and dawn to explore both of them a bit more in beautiful dusk and dawn conditions:
