6 islands in Japan you can cycle across in 2 days 🏝🚴♂️🏝 | SHIMANAMI KAIDŌ
The Shimanami Kaidō in Japan is a 70 kilometer inter-island cycling route in the Seto Inland Sea. Visitors can rent bikes from the city of Onomichi, near to Hiroshima, in the north or from the city of Imabari in the south for some of the best cycling in Japan! I started my trip on the Shimanami Kaidō from here in the Ehime Prefecture of Shikoku.
This route crosses six small islands between the larger islands Shikoku and Honshu that you can cycle across uninterrupted: Ōshima, Hakatajima, Ōmishima, Ikuchijima, Innoshima, and Mukaishima. Seto Sunset Beach is a halfway point with lodging and camping and places to eat and cook out. It’s an enjoyable, fun challenge for beginners and pros alike.
