“Stunning Views of Mount Fuji on a Clear New Year’s Day”
On New Year’s Day, we were fortunate to witness Mount Fuji in all its majestic glory, standing tall on a clear, cloudless day. It’s said that only about 30% of the time is the entire mountain visible, and its snow-capped peak can be seen just 10% of the time. We truly felt blessed to experience such a rare and breathtaking view of Fuji-san, its beauty unspoiled by clouds, making this visit all the more special. Mount Fuji, standing at 3,776 meters, is not only Japan’s tallest peak but also an active stratovolcano, though it has not erupted since 1707. Deeply embedded in Japanese culture, Fuji is a symbol of beauty, strength, and spirituality, often revered as a sacred site in both Shinto and Buddhist traditions.
