  1. Not sure if Takayama can still be considered underrated. My brother is there right now and he says it's packed. I personally would say Kobe is underrated. It's a lovely city, access is so easy from KIX with the ferry,Mt. Rokko and Nunobiki herb gardens are rather unique, and it also has the historical district of Kitano.

  2. I loved Nagoya. Only spent 2 days there but it was fun. I didn't find any other foreigners there. Also went to Ghibli Park.

  3. Miso Katsu and Hitsumabushi are so good man, and Inuyama castle was a worthy trip. I wanna add Kanazawa to this list, for the fresh fish and crab, kenrokuen, and a great 200+ year old onsen ryokan with a Noh theatre, Motoyu Ishiya.

  4. Hard agree on Nagoya, only spent 3 nights there but wish it was more. Enjoyed it a lot, people there were really cool too.
