๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐ŸŽ„Japan KFC Christmas Kumamoto Market & more.

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…Who knew Japan would be an interesting place to spend Christmas. Little compilation video of some of our 2024 times around the holiday where hundreds of people said “Merry Christmas” to us and were so happy and joyful in the Japanese way , even got mistaken for Santa. Even got some gifts like a nice Japanese whiskey bottle from our host.

๐Ÿ—Did the very interesting Kentucky Christmas fried chicken Japanese tradition, very popular since 1974, 50 years ago, a marketing campaign by the American chain that said KFC, means Kentucky for Christmas. It was fun eating it watching Home Alone for Christmas day lunch but the black pepper garlic ramen Christmas dinner was much much better. Highlight was the awesome Kumamoto Christmas market we went to several times over the month with clips from a few of those visits in here. Plus some other snacks, good Japanese whisky, many Christmas trees, movies like Bad Santa, and even found a Catholic church. 8 total Christmas movies watched this year, I didn’t film em all, but 2 new ones I can recommend is Christmas Chronicles from 2018 and Carry On from 2024, more of a thriller, but it takes place in an airport during Xmas. Whatever way you or anyone celebrates Christmas or the Winter Solstice time of year, hope you had a good one. Of course I miss family and friends and old times and emotions run high, but not a bad 6th digital nomad Christmas abroad.
