Tokyo Trip Begins! Meiji Shrine, Shibuya & More!
We are back in Japan! Now, we’re exploring Tokyo and taking some day trips outside the city. I absolutely love autumn—it’s my favorite season. I also brought my mom on this trip, and it’s her first time here.
Our first day flew by so fast. We started by visiting Meiji Jingu Shrine and had coffee at a cafe near the entrance, where we saw a group of elderly people doing some light exercises before entering the shrine. We understood why—they have a long walk ahead to reach Meiji Jingu. Afterward, we had lunch at Ippudo on Takeshita Street and grabbed some crepes for dessert.
To burn off all the food we ate, we walked through Urahara Cat Street, hoping to buy some Onitsuka shoes (which we didn’t find) or On shoes. Unfortunately, the flagship store was packed and had a two-hour wait, so we left and headed to Shibuya. Tower Records was definitely on my list. There was a local artist performing when we went, so while browsing through the vinyls, we were serenaded by her sweet voice.
Of course, Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Hachiko are a must. I didn’t take many videos on our first day because I was a little tired, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was going to vlog it or not. Hahaha! But the next day, I felt more committed, so watch out for my next episode!
