Sapporo to Otaru – Episode 3 “The Canal”
The canal is a ten minute walk or a two minute bus ride down the main road from Otaru Station.
I took a tax, but the female driver did not trust me and would not open the door unless I paid first.
Going back to Sapporo, Google maps messed up, so I used common sense and followed a family going to Sapporo and confirmed I was at the right train. A final confirmation as the train moved, I saw from google maps it was moving towards Sapporo. Once reaching Sapporo station, I transferred to Namboku line since I reversed what I did early morning going to Otaru and it stopped at Odori station where my hotel was only walking distance, but I took a taxi anyways.
