Christmas in BANGKOK Thailand 🇹🇭 plus Bangkok Illumination Festival ft Moo Deng

Bangkok’s supposed to be one of the BEST places for Christmas and the city really does go all out! There are Christmas trees and Christmas decorations all around Bangkok. This year they are also having the Bangkok Illumination Festival featuring giant Moo Dengs all over the city!
I first head out to Phrom Phong as it was the farthest east location and also has Emporium, EmQuartier, and Emsphere malls as well as Benchasiri Park. Emsphere is the best stop here as it has a super cute Christmas market inside which even includes hot mulled wine! After checking out the market, I went outside to see the Emsphere Christmas tree before heading back to Benchasiri Park. Benchasiri park is the first stop for the Bangkok Illumination Festival! It has 4 Moo Dengs and lots of decorative lights! After the park I jumped back on the BTS to Asok to see the Christmas tree at Terminal 21. From there I decided to walk to Nana BTS to try to see some more lights before taking the train to Phloen Chit BTS to see the decorations at Central Embassy. The connection between Central Embassy and Central Chitlom is one of the best Christmas picture spots in Bangkok! From there I continued walking along the BTS skywalk. I stumbled upon a Thai dance performance at the Erawan Shrine before crossing over to the Central World Merry Ville Christmas Market. This is probably the top place to celebrate Christmas in Bangkok! I got SO LUCKY with the timing as I arrived right when the clock tower started to blow out snow!!! So cool as I didn’t know that would happen! There were also lots of performances and street food. From there I walked to Siam Paragon which had some more nice Christmas decorations outside. I continued walking along the One Siam Skywalk which had more of the Bangkok Illumination Festival – including a huge shopping themed Moo Deng! I also saw the Christmas Tree at the MBK Center and the giant DJ Deng at the Nimibutr Arena! Instead of walking 25 minutes to the next spot, I jumped on a grab bike to the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal for more of the Illumination Festival. The canal was gorgeous! So many lights and giant eggs along the sides. It led right up to Hua Lamphong train station which is where the giant Deng Zilla is! Dengzilla includes a light and sound show where the biggest Moo Deng blows smoke as well! From there I walked less than 5 minutes to see the last Moo Deng in Chinatown before jumping on the MRT home.
