  1. Bingo and thank you! Thoroughly enjoying your video blog on life in Japan. Getting sick and tired of all the foreigners(gaijin) videos on, "Why I'm leaving Japan." and their negative comments after sucking all the social, cultural, and economic resources to their content. If they can't assimilate into Japan's unique cultural way of life and its social economic standard, then leave quietly without saying anything. Quote from Torasan, "….otokowa, nannimo iwanaide, shizukani satte iku."

  2. Nice! Saturday exjapter drop, coffee and exploring beautiful forest good start to the day thank you! 🙂

  3. I am curious if there is wildlife in the area. Snakes? Bears? Maybe deer? I assume birds are there. Looks like a great place to explore. Thank you for this video adventure!

  4. Spectacular scenery – from the geological remains that were fascinating, the moss and lichen growing on the
old tree stumps, the Nojiri Plain and of course beautiful Mt Fuji in the background! Loved being transported back to nature in Japan! Thanks to you Paul, and your mates for sharing! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

  5. I’ve driven around that area plenty. But I’ve never gone into it. (My wife is superstitious) Thanks for taking me along with you. It’s a lot more beautiful than I could’ve imagined. Mahalo Paul

  6. Great video…much more polished than the shaky run-and-gun one I shot of our trip!
Glad to see that without even planning it/coordinating our shoot…we managed to show different things in our respective videos that we saw along the way! Glad you got the freshly cut tree stump in your vid! I thought I had recorded some footage of it, but I had none to work with once I started editing.

Had a blast meeting you, Chris, and Yasu!😎👍 I just wish I could have enjoyed a few post-hike beers with the bros afterwards… 😅

  7. Paul has good friends. You enjoyed aokigahara very much, didn’t you?

When teachers in Japan take students out of school, they always tell their students “leave only foot steps but litters”.

  8. I was there a few years ago. Crazy place. Go off the beaten path, and you will have a hard time finding your way back. Turn around, and everything looks the same. No paths, no nothing including the sun to let you know which way to go.
