[Abandoned railway line] Temiya Line, National Railway, turned into a promenade

This is Hokkaido’s first railway, which opened in 1880. Passenger service was discontinued in 1962, and the entire line, including freight, was closed in 1985.

It is 2.8km from Minami-Otaru Station to Temiya Station.
The promenade is 1.8km long.

  4. One thing i noticed is that architecture in Hokkaido looks different.. almost like a northern USA/Canada style ?? –……interesting. πŸ˜‰
