[4k] Hiroshima Walk / Walking around Okunojima Island, known as Rabbit Island

Ōkunoshima is a small island in Hiroshima Prefecture, situated in the Seto Inland Sea, known affectionately as “Rabbit Island.”
The island is home to hundreds of wild rabbits that roam freely, offering a delightful and relaxing experience for visitors.
However, it also carries a somber history, having been a site where the Japanese Army produced chemical weapons during World War II.
Visitors can learn about this past through the Poison Gas Museum and remnants of old facilities.
Beyond its history, the island boasts beautiful coastal scenery, perfect for nature walks, cycling, and wildlife observation.
Ōkunoshima uniquely blends the charm of friendly animals, historical reflection, and serene natural beauty, making it a distinctive destination.
