Ikea is now doing well in China, but it wasn’t always a successful furniture and housewares store in China. The first 12 years, it didn’t make a profit. Ikea had to change the way they do business in China. It had to adapt to the Chinese market.
In this video, I show you the Ikea shopping experience in China, and I talk about the changes they had to make in China. Sara and I do a bit of shopping and go for the famous Ikea meatballs. Yes, Ikea’s business strategy had to change for China, but the store itself is very similar to the one you know and love – including the meatballs.
