A Typical Workday at a Japanese construction blue-collar clothing aka workwear speciality shop, MANNEN-YA, in Tokyo’s Shinjuku area and I’m going take you inside of this small Japanese business to show you how they run their shop, earn an honest living and sell their goods. Established in 1969, the shop has been a trusted destination for local construction workers for many years. Now run by the founder’s daughter, the shop continues to be a trusted retailer for the hard working community. In recent years, workwear in Japan has seen tremendous growth, with a wide variety of styles, colors, and variations in both clothing and accessories. Many major clothing and even tool brands have recognized the industry’s potential for profit. This growth can largely be attributed to the fact that workers in Japan’s construction industry, many of whom are sole proprietors, are not restricted to basic company uniforms but have the freedom to dress in their own style, as long as they meet safety regulations.

I actually visited this Mannenya when I was in Japan in August, it was a very well sorted and clean store and the staff were very kind and considerat.
there was a lot of interesting things inside and I was able to find what I wanted, a Japan only style pair of coveralls I now use in my workshop, as well as a great hat that covers my neck and face in the sun.
would recommend this to anyone who wants to buy good quality workwear, gardening clothes or just some utility items that wants a good price and a great range.
凄い!
なんと凄いシリーズ始めてくれましたね。
ありそうでなかった。
ちなみに自分は鳶でこの店時々行きます👷
自分のチャンネルも頑張ります👊
So that’s where geto gets his pants from…
It's good that such videos are made. I think we foreigners would misbehave if we visited Japan so we can watch a video like this and pay revenue to the Japan content creator and that's good enough. We avoid offending local people.
Where is the Engelbert strauß
No calisthenics outside before work? 😅
Why don't the weeds in front of the shop get pulled? They look worse than the liter he swept up.
It's great for the daughter to keep her parents shop alive. So nice to see the husband supporting right by her side.
How long will you stay in New York?
The AC jacket! I totally could use one in the summer! ❤
Awesome video as always Paolo. Those AC vest are so awesome definitely need to get one for myself.
I'm an engineer so due a number of site visits for my jobs. I guarantee if I tried showing up in a fan suit everyone would be laughing at me. I work in EHV switchyards though so doubt they have an FR one. Wonder if I can wear it under my FR gear. A lot of the sites are in the middle of the desert with 100+ daily in the summer
Happy wife happy life is hilarious 😂
Can reaction women doctor in japan
Is this shop near Minato-ku? Embassy district? That fire station looks very familiar and if it the one i remember it is 1 prefecture/ward/district away from Minato-ku iirc. 1988 so memory is a factor too =0)
Hi Paolo. Love your videos. More please!
I'm a general contractor in California. I'm curious on how Japanese contractors typical days go.
After having two children, Americans are larger than their fire trucks.
No Carhartt? Disappointing
New balance are a solid work shoe cause they are one of the few brands that offer steel toes for wide feet.
