You don’t want to struggle with blisters while you travel! #travelwithkids #japanwithkids #packing

Walking scenes are from #shinmatsuda #kaguraza #ginza #tokyostation #marunouchi #nakameguro Did you know that many Americans say they’ve never walked as much in their lives as they do in Japan? A lot of my American friends’ had Blisters when they came here—so you better pack some comfy shoes! In Japan, people walk everywhere, especially in cities like Tokyo. They use trains not cars, so from station to station they walk. I think kids walk much more in Japan. After 3 years old, not many kids use strollers. So, in Japan, forget the car—walking is the way to go. You can maybe buy them here too but overall sizes are smaller. So pack well or you’ll be in serious pain, and trust me, you don’t want that!

  1. When my family visited Japan, I made a big mistake. On the second day, both my parents ended up with blisters. They’re not ones to complain, so by the time I noticed, the damage was already done. For first-timers in Japan, it’s best to be conservative with walking plans.

  2. Well, this is one thing I can one up my family on. I'd be doing just fine walking like that. It takes about 2 hours (if I take the pretty and safer route) to walk to town from my house. I've done it several times and it's not bad at all, I like to stop off at the lake and sometimes I stop at the ice cream place in town once I get there. I have a car but walking is so fun.
