Trains and Trips in Central Japan (Nagoya to Kanazawa to Nakatsugawa)

Before we embarked on our trek through the Nakasendo Trail, Xenon crafted an itinerary that had us riding trains to some of Central Japan’s most iconic places. Some of the trips were half-day walks around historic towns, while others were hour-long visits to parks and other beautiful places. I don’t think Ive been to this many different rail-based modes of public transportation in the space of just two days. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
