Snow Monkey Park Nagano Hot Springs Japan Travel
This is day 4 of our trip to Japan and we start the day in Nagano at a hotel near the station, the Chisun Grand Nagano.

We missed bus the bus back to Nagano at Snow Monkey Park and opted to take the route back with trains – huge mistake, it added about 2 hours to the trip. The Bullet trains are very regular as are the city undergrounds but we found the schedules are much less regular in the countryside and it can mean a LOT of waiting around. Still, we got to see what rural life is like, it was the polar opposite of the cities!
