Minami Koen (Minami Park) is another lesser known cherry blossom gem that has a much more peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

Unlike more active and crowded cherry blossom spots in Fukuoka, such as Maizuru Koen and Nishi Koen Minami Park gives a quieter and less hectic experience. Some of the best cherry blossoms are near the entrance to the Fukuoka City zoo.
