Kamakura is just a short train ride from Tokyo. This is the best day trip from Tokyo. Check out my list of the 5 Best things to do in Kamakura Japan.

Of course the first thing on the list is to go to the beach in Kamakura. Kamakura has 3 beaches: Yuigahama, Zaimokuza, and Koshigoe. Yuigahama is just a short walk from the center of Kamakura.

Kamakura also has some great hiking trails, shopping and temples.

One of the highlights for me in Kamakura was drinking tea in a bamboo forest at Hokokuji Temple in Kamakura.
