A Tour Inside My Designer Tokyo Apartment and Office!

And thus, the apartment series comes to an end (finally lol). It feels like all I’ve been doing for the past 4 months has just been moving to Tokyo and I’m SO happy with how it’s turned out 🙂 Very grateful for how far we’ve come!

Thank you again to Flexispot for sending me the desk, chair and sofa for my office. They’ve got a great Black Friday sale on right now so take advantage of it all!

  1. Stand alone stove burners are super cheap; here you can go to walmart, home depot, whatever, and can 1-2 burners that just plug in; sort of like the camping mini ones I guess, but electric.

  2. Are those teflon pans? Discard if they are or always use wood cooking utensils. You could get rolling cabinets for under the countertop. Buy another portable induction cooktop to add more burners. Anyway, congrats on the new place

  3. So exciting! Best of luck with your future plans, company, and everything! Love the decor in the apartment as well; cold concrete walls and warm wooden floors are just 🤌 the office looks great, too– ice cream IS for sharing hahaha plus another wild bandanna sighting 😂😂😂

Also the bathroom door omg so many questions…

  4. Hannah! If you do want some comfier over ear headphones, i use the Steel Series. They have this elastic band on the top to the headphones themselves aren't resting on your head, just the band. I wear them all day most days and i no longer get headaches. 🙂

  5. We've got the same bed and the storage is sooo helpful.
Congrats on the apartment and office, and good luck with the new company!

  6. The van life people might know what to do! Big sliding drawers? Lots of vans have them and you can get the sliders in variable lengths. Should easily span that depth.

  7. Even though I have no reason for an office in Tokyo or anywhere else I want that CHAIR AND DESK!!. On a serious note, I have just come back from Japan and only 2 of the 6 hotels (3/4 *) I stayed at had a barely comfortable chair in the room. You do need back support if you are going to work or watch TV for any length of time. Well done on the great move forward and thank you for sharing your experiences.

  8. You'd maybe want a rack with wheels under the kitchen sink so that you can pull it out when you use them. Plus you get more surface area on top of that, for serving perhaps.

  9. I'm a custom furniture maker and would love to build you a custom cabinet, drawer, whatever.
I'm in the US, so I'm not sure what shipping would be, but maybe we can work out something as a YT colab to offset the cost.

  10. Lol – you need to invite "Scott Brown Carpentry" back to Japan he can make you a kitchen. He just spent two weeks in Japan fixing up another Auzzie's house in Shiga for her.

  11. Those super deep plastic muji drawers for clothes could be a decent way to store cleaning products, food and pots under the sink. If you stack them high enough it might avoid them falling forward when you opening the drawers. And you can reuse them wherever you move to next?

  12. 3000 per month for water, from the apartment directly?!
We got it from the regular city water supplier and it's dirt cheap lol like 2200 every two months

  13. love how clean but slightly industrial it is, feels cozy! the screws on the concrete wall are so neat. getting ideas for my place.
