If you’re ever in Osaka, Oko by Shiho is a must-visit for the vibes alone—but the food will have you coming back for more (we went three times during our trip!). This hole-in-the-wall Okonomiyaki spot is run single-handedly by Shiho, an absolute powerhouse of a woman who juggles everything—taking orders, cooking, cleaning, and serving—with ease and charm. She serves up the fluffiest, most customizable and juicy Okonomiyaki, Dumpling dishes for vegetarians and vegans.

Pro tips: Go early (around 6 PM) to avoid the lines, which can hit 45-1hr minutes by 8:30 PM. The place is cozy and sticky and not for the super-cleanliness-obsessed, but the vibe is very fun. The walls are covered with quirky, heartfelt testimonials from travelers worldwide—grab a pen and add yours while you wait.

Shiho’s energy, the delicious food, and the intimate atmosphere make Oko unforgettable. Had to drop by and cheer a women who do it all and make it look easy!
