[Ginzan Onsen] Ghibli Style Bath House! Travel Blog From Yamagata to Chiba
We’re slowly heading back to Chiba again to go head to America for a bit! We ended up being near Yamagata so we head to the famous Ginzan Onsen. While we wanted to use their day time baths, they were closed to the public when we arrived! But Ginzan onsen is mostly known for it’s incredible snow and nighttime view so we still got to enjoy the incredible view. We hope one day to stay in one of the ryokan here. On the journey down we stop by Azuma-kofuji which was a very unique view, not one that I thought I’d see! After that we visit Hitachi Fudokinooka park. Known for it’s sakura (now gone!) but also it’s giant Japanese style Lion head! Finally we end at Ushiku Daibutsu right on the edge of Chiba. Sort of an odd mix of things but this is how our van life ends up, you go from place to place!
Hello! We are Tetsu & Reid, a Japanese and American couple living in Japan with a goal to travel around the country, van style! This is our experience buying a used van in Japan that we are converting into a livable space for our trip. We will show the process of making the van and the travel that follows next. This a very nice video, showing us rather unkown places in Japan (apart from Ginzan Onsen). Thank you for it Tetsu and Reid.
Wow, it looks like Fuji so much!
