【青森／世界文化遺産】大森勝山遺跡／縄文時代のストーンサークル – Omori Katsuyama Site in AOMORI, JAPAN
大森勝山遺跡は、青森県弘前市の岩木山北東にある縄文時代晩期初頭の集落遺跡。
この遺跡からは、約3,000年前の環状列石（ストーンサークル）が発見された。
縄文時代晩期の環状列石は珍しく、唯一発掘調査により判明した遺跡である。
遺跡は自然林等に囲まれ、人工物が視界に入らない国内屈指の遺跡景観を有している。
岩木山を背景とする美しい景観は、この遺跡の魅力となっている。
平成24 年（2012年）、大森勝山遺跡は国の史跡に指定。
また、令和３年（2021年）に世界文化遺産に登録された。

The Omori Katsuyama Site is an early Jomon Period settlement site located northeast of Mount Iwaki in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture.
From this site, a stone circle was discovered that is approximately 3,000 years old.
Stone circles from the late Jomon period are rare, and this is the only site to have been discovered through excavation.
The site is surrounded by natural forests and has one of the best archaeological landscapes in Japan, with no man-made objects visible.
The beautiful scenery with Mt. Iwaki in the background is an attractive feature of the site.
In 2012, the Omori Katsuyama Site was designated as a national historic site.
It was also registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2021.
