This is a shorter, edited version of the livestream tour I hosted yesterday at Costco’s soon-to-open Ogori (Fukuoka) warehouse. The video begins with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the new facility, including areas that are normally off-limits. Along the way, Ken shares fascinating and little-known facts about Costco’s unique business model and operations in Japan—insights you probably won’t hear elsewhere. The second part features an interview with Ken Theriault, Costco Japan’s Country Manager, where we discuss Costco’s remarkable success in Japan and how it’s adapted to fit the local market. To finish things off, Ken and I indulge in some Costco pizza and chat. It’s a casual, fun end to an informative look at Costco Japan’s newest warehouse.

コストコの日本初上陸は1999年、ここ福岡。当時、その立ち上げを率いたのはカナダ出身のケン・テリオ氏（現 コストコホールセールジャパン 日本支社長）です。今では国内35店舗を展開するコストを率いるケン・テリオ社長が、同じくカナダ出身のKyushu LiveナビゲーターのNickと一緒に、オープン直前のコストコ小郡の店内ツアーを行いました。
オープン前の店内からバックヤードまで、開業準備に勤しむスタッフに声をかけながら、隅々までたっぷり見せてくれたKen社長。後半は、商品秘話からビジネスモデル、人材に関することまで、率直、かつ、フレンドリーに話してくれました。コストコファンも、新店「コストコ小郡」に興味がある人も、ビジネスに関心がある人にもおすすめの社長インタビューです。
