【Affordable!】 Riding Japan’s Expressway Bus “Fukufuku” | Fukuoka to Shimonoseki

I took the expressway bus “Fukufuku” from Fukuoka to Shimonoseki.

How do you go to Shimonoseki from Fukuoka?
You can take the Shinkansen to Shin-Shimonoseki Station and then transfer to a local train, or you can take the Shinkansen or limited express train to Kokura Station and then transfer to a local train to Shimonoseki.

The expressway bus “Fukufuku” is a recommended means of transportation as it does not require transfers and has a reasonable fare.

  1. Not just the bus stop, but also the bus seems very basic for a two hour journey. I passed through Shimonoseki this year, transferring from the ferry from Busan to the local train to Kokura (where I caught the Shinkansen to Shin-Kobe). I didn’t see much of the city, but did recognise the walkways around the station in your video. Thanks!

  2. Hello again, Bran-ravel. Nice clip! I have taken many buses both from Hakata Station and from Tenjin. Buses are comfortable in Japan, both for shorter and longer trips. Been to Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Oita by bus. On longer trips they often make stops on the highway, restrooms, restaurants, shops etc. Arigato!
