YOKOHAMA, Japan 4K Travel Walk 横浜, 日本

Hello friends! Today, we are in Yokohama, Japan. Yokohama is the 2nd most populous city in Japan after Tokyo. It’s only an hour by train to Tokyo and makes for a great side trip. International cruises often dock here and it’s worth staying a couple of days to see the sights.

Yokohama was originally a quiet fishing village up to the end of the Edo period. It was one of the earliest port to open up to foreign trade in 1859 and it experienced rapid growth after that. The city has been rebuilt several times due to earthquake, fires and destruction during WWII. Today, Yokohama is a cosmopolitan city with beautiful marina, 42 museums, all the restaurants and shops one can want.

Today, we will visit Minato Mirai 21, Chinatown, walk along the seaside to the Red Brick Warehouse, have fun at the Cup Noodle Museum. Also, a short train ride away is the Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum.
