Thar Desert Camel Safari (Sam Sand Dunes) ๐ฎ๐ณ Rajasthan, India Travel Vlog
In this India Travel Vlog, I leave Jaisalmer on an overnight camel safari in the Thar Desert of India! Since I first heard about these camel safaris, I really wanted to do one!! We met our group at a hotel where we proceeded to take a jeep about 45 minutes into the desert. The jeep finally stopped when we came to a group of camels. Once we got out of the jeep we were each put onto a camel to start the 30ish minute camel ride into the actual Sam Sand Dunes. We arrived at camp and had a great time exploring the dunes while our guides set up our beds and started to cook us dinner. We were all shocked when a boy came walking up from the middle of the desert carrying a sack full of beers! We enjoyed some beers while watching sunset before we had a delicious meal of chapati, curry, and rice! After hanging out for a while longer it was time for us to sleep under the stars! Luckily they had a lot of blankets for us because it was COLD at night!!! I had 3 blankets for myself which kept me warm enough. We woke up early to see the sunrise in over the sand dunes before going back to sleep for a little then being awoken to an amazing breakfast! We had some sort of porridge with fruit. After having our breakfast, we packed up our stuff, got back on the camels, and headed back to town!
While we had another friend opt to do the ‘deep desert’ safari, I was so glad we did the shorter option! Personally 30 minutes is enough for me on a camel at one time! However overall the desert camel safari in Jaisalmer was one of my favorite experiences in India!!

India is not a country it's a subcontinent
Does their desert smell like curry?
I love camels
You remind me of someone I met in America (California). I am Tamil from Chennai. I'm glad you enjoyed India. I myself haven't explored many parts of India even though I'm Indian.
India is one of few countries who have all the landscape in one country
This guy wearing cap is behaving very inhumanly with the animal, don't know what our government and other people are doing, India is no longer the same country where earlier animals were treated equally.
Your india series is long
I'm travelling to Chennai in India soon I am going to Pondicherry I can't wait! Nice video Natalie you make everything look fun stay happy healthy and safe ๐
What a cool adventure! I wanted to do a camel safari in the Khalghari Desert when I went to Morocco but we didnโt go far enough south to do that. Thanks for sharing clips of the desert dunes I had always imagined traversing. Who knew they even have camels in Indiaโฆ must have traded spices for a herd or two with some Arabian explorers back in the day! Glad to see you seemed to end up with an agreeable camel to ride and hope your behind wasnโt too sore for days on end after your tour ended. Also, am curious what they charged for this overnight desert camping trip.
Been watching your videos from past few Weeks. Really impressed with the way you have covered Different parts of India. Although this should be the shortest Lasting Video You've ever Uploaded.
You should have come to Indore, our city is clean and people are also good, I don't know why foreigners don't come to our city๐ข
You are my God, I can sleep better when I see your smile ๐
Just saw some of your shimla, Ladakh vlogs absolutely loved it!!!!
How long u have been here ?
Are you enjoying Rajasthani food? Do you think it's spicier compared to food from other places?
Really happy that you are enjoying our country so much. Yes, I admit that some people may find it difficult to adjust to the bustle and chaos of India yet vlogs like yours prove that there are many many wonderful experiences that India offers. I was very disheartened to see how a famous youtuber recently made a video highlighting only the worst of the worst in India.
โค always love your video
hahaha Glad you ended up doing Camel safari finally
Regular viewer ๐
Did u try Daal baati churma … Rajasthani food
Omgosh I so enjoyed this video so much! Yes, following your travels and exploits thru India, I must admit India seems to have everything. Great video! Stay safe! Love you! โค
Wish you weren't exposing yourself to the sun so much. No tank tops and shorts in the desert, especially when you're white.
That place looks and sounds amazing – the deep desert experience would be worth trying if I ever make it…a really cool video…I enjoyed it… stay safe and wild !
