HISTORY

Walking along the uneven sidewalks of Kadıköy felt like tracing the shadows of old Istanbul with each step. The past seemed to whisper secrets trapped between the cobblestones. As I moved towards Moda, I stumbled upon a hidden garden—a few flowers, a cat curled up on a bench… It was a peaceful corner, as if only for those who had the eyes to see it.

It was as if I was breathing in the deep sighs of the city. In that moment, the spirit of Istanbul seemed to fill me like a secret. Later that evening, I found myself wandering to Bar Street. After midnight, the street performers emerged. Watching them felt like witnessing a secret show on an invisible stage.

A day, I stepped into one of Kadıköy’s antique shops. Time felt suspended inside. Old records, faded photographs, unfamiliar trinkets… Each one hid a story. From there, I made my way to Moda, and as the sun set, I settled into a tea garden. With a cup of tea in hand, I watched the golden light spill over the sea, creating a small ritual of my own. It was a ritual that belonged to me alone, a moment of calm in the chaos of the city.

Finally, I decided to get lost in the backstreets of Kadıköy. Wandering among the old wooden mansions felt like stepping into another era. Every house, every window seemed to hold a secret behind it. In the midst of Istanbul’s hustle and bustle, time flowed differently here. It felt as though, the more I got lost, the more I found myself.

In short, walking in Kadıköy, feeling and inhaling its smell, it was a wonderful period of time.

I am very happy to share this with you.

Enjoy.
