Wat Rai Khing (งานวัดไร่ขิง) is located about an hour outside of Bangkok, in Nakhon Pathom. The temple is famous for hosting an annual Thai fair called the Ngan Wat Rai Khing, that’s one of the biggest and busiest fairs in Thailand. You’ll find all sorts of interesting things at this Thai fair, but mostly unique, delicious and some crazy Thai foods!

So we’re on a mission to walk around and explore Wat Rai Khing (งานวัดไร่ขิง), and we’re going to eat $50 of Thai street food at this food fair this afternoon!

Grilled octopus (หมึกย่าง) – 200 THB

Honey baked chicken (ไก่อบน้ำผึ้ง) – 60 THB for ½ chicken (we bought 1 chicken for 120 THB)
Honey baked pork (หมูอบน้ำผึ้ง) – 50 THB per 100 grams (We bought 500 grams, 250 THB)

Grilled bananas (kluay ping กล้วยปิ้ง) – 59 THB

Crab roll (hoy jaw จ๊อปู) – 250 THB
Wagyu steamed bun (ซาลาเปาเนื้อวากิว)
Fish custard (hor mok ห่อหมก) – 70 THB

Fried insects (malang tod แมลงทอด) – 50 THB

Chicken noodles (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่) 60 THB

Total price – 1,537 THB ($46.19), we managed to eat all that food and bought lots of food to bring home all for under $50!

Wat Rai Khing (งานวัดไร่ขิง) is a busy Thai fair, and what I like about it is its creative and trendy, but it’s very local, and very entertaining, and you’ll find some unique and delicious foods to try!

  1. Because there is some wonderful vegan food in Thailand. Tofu and lovely fresh veg and fruit. I have travelled Thailand for many years and had some some wonderful vegan food. The country like the UK is is becoming more aware of animal cruelty. Which is good to see. Of course I am aware of the poverty drives people with food as well. I am not stupid.

  2. อาหารเยอะมากน่าทานทั้งนั้นเลยค่ะ 👍👍👍

  3. Hi Mark, great video as usual. This market looks amazing with so much delicious food. I just wondered, do you know where I can find the Thai Monks prayer translated into English? Or would you have a link? Thanks

  4. I love watching your videos with my mom ❤ it reminds me of the times we used to watch Anthony on CNN every Sunday night

  5. Fried insects. If you've never eaten them, imagine whole, crispy fried shrimp. that can be eaten whole

  6. Yes, you re my favorite Thai travel youtube channel. You understand the culture of Thailand makes you more comfortable. You talk to the local people, it's lovely. You are becoming more and more like a Thai person every day

  7. My favorite videos are seeing you and Ying together, laughing and having fun, especially when you are home in Thailand. I added this fair to my bucket list-this looks amazing.
