I stopped off in Himeji for the day. The most famous thing to see is Himeji Castle. It’s one of the most famous castles in Japan. They focused a lot on the structure of the castle in the main keep and then had the historical information in the west bailey.
Right beside the castle is Kokoen Garden. For ¥40 more you can get a double entry for the castle and garden so that’s what I did. The garden was surprisingly big with different themed sections. I wasn’t originally going to go to the garden but figured for only ¥40, why not. I’m so glad I did. They were really nice.
Much love and happy travels
