First Day in UDAIPUR Rajasthan ๐ฎ๐ณ India Travel Vlog
In this India Travel Vlog, I FINALLY make it to the famous state of Rajasthan, India! Specifically to the gorgeous city of Udaipur. I start the vlog on the rooftop of my hostel. It was such an amazing hostel!! I stayed in a dorm that was super cheap, met lots of other cool travelers, and had sunsets beers on the roof watching sunset over the lake with my new friends! You can book it here: https://www.booking.com/hotel/in/dreamyard-udaipur.en.html?aid=8083598
After seeing the views from the hostel roof, I walked through the streets of Udaipur to the Udaipur City Palace. It’s a gorgeous palace (that was also kind of a maze to get through)! There were so many cool rooms to see in the palace, followed by little slightly claustrophobic hallways. After exploring the palace for 45 minutes, I paid another ticket to go down to view the lake. When I was leaving the temple complex I stumbled upon a changing of the guards type ceremony?? It happened randomly at 5:12pm, but I was so happy I got to see it! Next I headed down to Bagore Ki Haveli by the Gangaur Ghat to buy tickets for the dance show that night. After buying my ticket, I tried to go to the 99 Rupee Thali restaurant that I ate at the night before, however it was closed! Luckily there was a man nearby who told me to go two restaurants down to the Cool Cafe. They also had a 100 Rupee Thali on the menu. It was so good!! After quickly eating, I ran back to my hostel to watch sunset on the roof with my hostel friends. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see the best part of sunset as I had to leave to meet them at the dance show! (Although I promise sunsets in Udaipur are amazing)! The dance show was actually so much better than I expected! They did many different traditional dances from Udaipur/Rajasthan and it was a really amazing building to sit and watch them in. It was a great few days in Udaipur, India!!

While you may not like salty lime soda, there is a reason many Indian drinks have salt in them. It's to counter the mineral loss due to sweating, so drinking salty drinks is actually advisable in the Indian heat.

In my small town, we can get an unlimited thali for 90 rupees. It has wheat chapatis, millet parathas, three kinds of vegetables curries (one of them a bean curry) dal, several kinds of pickles, kadhi (a curry made of chickpea flour and yogurt), Rice, khichadi, papadam, and butter milk. Servers are going around with all these items and if you need to replenish anything, just ask them.
You should have hired a guide in the city palace, it's worth it.
Yet another wonderful vlog. There are seven bucket list destinations in Udaipur Lake City, which you missed out in this vlog (1) Sajjangarh Monsoon Hill Palace (2) Saheliyoun ki Bari Heritage Palace (3) Jag Mandir Island Palace (4) Dudh Talai (5) Ahar Museum (6) Solar Observatory (7) Nehru Island Garden on the banks of Fatehsagar Lake. Incase if yours time permits, do visit these places. Take Care. Keep Exploring India. Cheers๐
