Solo Travel Mount Fuji: Driving in Japan, Squirrel Garden, Mount Fuji, and Japanese Costco 2024
Sunday, September 22, 2024.
Last night, I stayed at the five-star Conrad Tokyo. The rate was unusually high at $850 a night because of the Japanese holiday, Autumnal Equinox Day, making it a three-day weekend, but it didn’t cost me a penny.
It is explained later on in this video.
I am now at a different Hilton again. That makes it the fourth Hilton.
Today, I rented a car and drove out of Tokyo towards Mount Fuji.
The places I visited are as follows:
Number 1, Conrad Tokyo.
I stayed there last night, it is a very nice hotel.
Number 2, Driving in Japan.
I have an International Driving Permit, and it is required before renting a car here in Japan. Once outside Tokyo, it really wasn’t that complicated.
Number 3, Machida Squirrel Garden.
It is basically a garden full of squirrels.
Number 4, Mount Fuji.
I don’t think I need to explain this, everybody knows.
Number 5, Japanese Costco.
My Mexican Costco card works here.
Number 6, Starbucks Run By Deaf People.
The first Starbucks to be staffed almost exclusively by deaf people opened up in Malaysia in 2018. The one here in Japan is the fifth and opened in 2020.
Number 7, Capy Neko Café.
It’s a coffee shop that has capybaras walking around.
Enjoy the video.
