【AICHI JAPAN】Enjoy NEO RETRO CAFE Hopping in Toyohashi ～cafe FUTAKOBU RAKUDA / CAFE SAIRO～
Introducing recommended gourmet spots in Toyohashi City, Aichi, Japan. This time, we visited two places with a neo retro cafe atmosphere that blends old and new. At the first cafe, “cafe FUTAKOBU RAKUDA”, you can see the lunch and breakfast. At the next cafe, “CAFE SAIRO,” we introduce tea time where you can enjoy high-quality coffee and retro, nostalgic sweets. In between the two cafes, we visited “Mukaiyama Ryokuchi Park” a park lined with ruins monuments, and indulged in childhood memories for a while.
“Cafe FUTAKOBU RAKUDA” is a cozy cafe with large windows and sand-colored walls. The cute ornaments of two-humped camel decorated throughout the cafe are heartwarming. Lunch comes with a large salad, soup, and drink, so we recommend it. Breakfast Special are also recommended! There is a wide variety of sets, including homemade bread, muffins, and waffles. You can’t miss the seasonal parfait! It’s a delicious dessert that is pleasing to the eye and filled with seasonal fruits.
“CAFE SAIRO” is a cafe that just opened in February 2024. The “coffee room SAIRO” that was here 50 years ago was repaired and revived by the owner’s granddaughter. Many of the items in the cafe have been inherited from that time, giving it a truly neo retro cafe atmosphere.
The owner studied at a barista school in Australia and trained at a cafe in Tokyo. The coffee served here is excellent. You can enjoy a special cup of coffee such as the high-end coffee: Panama Geisha.
“Mukaiyama Ryokuchi Park” is a park consisting of several areas with different atmospheres, and the area introduced this time is lined with “haniwa” (clay figurines) and monuments of ruins such as pyramids. There is no particular name for this place, and everyone seems to have their own name for here.
