A taste of Japan: Tsushima Island (対馬)
We wanted to go by ferry from Busan to Hitakatsu, but they warned us for rough weather and the possibility to cancel the ferry back to Busan.
We wanted to stay one night on the island but we couldn’t risk not getting back in time. So we chose a day trip, we wanted to rent e-bikes to get around easily, but the bike rental owner was afraid of renting out the bikes due to heavy rain. So we walked by foot, the rain was relentless, it was the first day of the monsoon. We got wet inside and out, but luckily we found a local restaurant “Choito” with very friendly staff, were we could dry up and enjoy real Japanese food and sake.
It was a short stay, the locals seemed very friendly and it was a good day to celebrate the first day of the monsoon.
