Japanese green tea is unlike your regular black or green tea. Most teas are roasted, which produces a smoky, somewhat bitter taste. But, Japanese teas are steamed, which locks in a grassy umami-like flavor that is unlike any other.
In this video, we review premium green tea from Japan by Hibiki-An. We have been drinking their teas and using their teaware since 2018. Their quality and service have been first-rate.
Hibiki-An produces and ships their tea products all over the world directly from Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Uji is considered a birthplace of Japanese tea culture and cultivates one of the best teas in the country. Besides teas, Hibiki-An offers authentic Japanese ceramic teapots, teacups and other sweet dessert food.
Among the teas that we try in this video review are: sencha, shincha gyokuro, houjicha karigane and genmaicha matcha-iri. We also talk about matcha and Hibiki-An’s kuradashi matcha (aged matcha).
