名楽園(中村区)、城東園(北区)、八幡園(中川区)と並ぶ名古屋の四大遊郭園の一つ、港区にある「港陽園」を歩いてきました。港陽園は事前調べで現存する遺構は「かもめアパート(かもめ荘)」の一軒だけと知りましたが実際に行ってもこのアパートしか探す事が出来ませんでした。
しかし一軒だけ残された「かもめアパート」が実に素晴らしい！いわゆる妓楼からの転業アパートですがなんと今も賃貸物件として現役で運営されているのだそうです。この建物を生で見るだけでも港陽園に訪れる価値はありますよ。
名古屋はもちろん、全国の遊郭建築物が保存や修復されることなく取り壊されていることを知り、この先無くなると思い、残されている街を自分の目で確かめアーカイブしておきたくなり動画を撮影・アップしました。

I have walked “Koyo-en” in Minato Ward, one of Nagoya’s four major Red-light-district, along with Meiraku-en (Nakamura Ward), Joto-en (Kita Ward), and Yahata-en (Nakagawa Ward). Koyo-en knew in advance that the existing remains were only one house of “Kamome Apartment (Kamomeso)”, but even if it actually went, only this apartment could be found.
