JAPAN Exploring Kyushu in Our Hiace Camper Van | Ocean Views, Private Onsen & Scenic Michi no Eki

Join us on an unforgettable journey in our Hiace Toybox camper van as we explore some of Japan’s most scenic and relaxing destinations. We kicked off our adventure from Iwakuni and headed to the Hi Life Campground in Shimonoseki, where we enjoyed a peaceful night with an incredible ocean view all to ourselves. From there, we traveled to the breathtaking Mount Aso area in Kyushu, famous for its stunning landscapes and active volcano. Along the way, we indulged in several private onsen, soaking in the rejuvenating hot springs amidst the serene countryside. We also took advantage of the convenient Michi no Eki roadside stations, perfect for overnight stays as we continued our journey through Japan’s hidden gems.

  1. Beautiful scenery, inexpensive foods… but for some reasons fruits are way pricier than in the US but I know for sure they are tasty.

  2. funny, we have the same two Coleman stools and GCI table. it's part of our kids' sports watching set-up. have the GCI rocking chairs made it to Japan? they're a bit heavy but totally worth it if you can manage.

  3. Many many congratulations making it to the top!! Especially considering the heat and humidity at 12 noon
